Shipping & Returns

I want your artwork to reach you safely and in the best possible condition. Below you can find information about processing times, shipping, packaging and returns.

Shipping

Latvia

Original paintings shipped within Latvia are sent stretched on a wooden frame and ready to hang, unless otherwise stated in the product description.

Prints are carefully packaged according to their size and shipped in protective packaging.

International

For international orders, original paintings are generally shipped rolled in a sturdy protective cardboard tube.

Shipping paintings rolled allows me to keep international shipping safer and more affordable, especially for larger artworks.

Once received, the canvas will need to be professionally stretched onto a wooden frame before it can be displayed.

Prints are also generally shipped rolled in a protective tube, depending on their size and destination.

If a particular artwork requires a different shipping method, this will be stated in its product description.

Processing time

I aim to dispatch orders within 3–5 business days after payment has been received.

Each artwork is carefully checked and prepared for shipping before it leaves my studio.

You will receive shipping confirmation and tracking information where available.

Delivery times

Delivery times depend on the destination and shipping provider.

As a general guide:

Latvia: approximately [1-5] business days

European Union: approximately [14-28] business days

International: approximately [30-40] business days

Please note that these are estimates and do not include the processing time.

International deliveries may take longer due to customs processing or circumstances outside my control.

Customs & import fees

For international orders outside the European Union, your country may charge customs duties, import taxes or other fees upon arrival.

These charges are not included in the artwork or shipping price and are the responsibility of the buyer.

I recommend checking your country's customs and import regulations before placing an order.

Packaging

Every artwork is carefully packaged in my studio.

Original paintings shipped on a frame are protected with appropriate wrapping and sturdy outer packaging.

For international shipments, rolled canvases are carefully protected and placed inside a sturdy cardboard tube designed to protect the artwork during transportation.

Damaged deliveries

I take great care when preparing your artwork, but occasionally damage can occur during transportation.

If your package arrives damaged, please:

Take photographs of the package and any visible damage before opening it, if possible.

Photograph the artwork and packaging materials.

Contact me at sabine.cernuho@gmail.com as soon as possible.

Please keep the original packaging until the issue has been resolved, as it may be required when making a claim with the shipping provider.

I will work with you to find an appropriate solution.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this process.

Returns

I want you to feel happy with the artwork you bring into your home.

If you are a consumer purchasing from within the European Union, you generally have the right to return an eligible online purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason.

To request a return, please contact me at:

Sabine.cernuho@gmail.com

Please contact me before sending anything back so that I can provide the correct return instructions.

The artwork should be returned safely packaged and in its original condition, allowing for the handling reasonably necessary to inspect the artwork.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, the buyer is responsible for the direct cost of returning an unwanted item.

Once the returned artwork has been received, I will process the refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.

Custom and personalised artworks

The right of withdrawal does not apply to certain personalised or made-to-order artworks where the law provides an exception.

If you commission a painting or request a personalised artwork, I will confirm the applicable terms with you before starting the work.

Artwork damaged after delivery

Please handle rolled canvases carefully and have them professionally stretched by an experienced framer or art professional.

I cannot be responsible for damage caused by improper handling, storage, stretching or framing after delivery.

This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to defects or damage that existed before delivery.
